converting soft chain

anyone know if you can take a soft chain setup on a basket and change it over to a standerd chain setup ?? without having to buy a whole new top assembly.

get some hefty pliers and a tool the unbend the old S-hooks (i dont know tool names) something with a simple machine integrated like a screw lift but with tabs to access thin places.
