club starting without money

what are some perks i can give to my potential club members?

we don't have any monetary things to hand out, like t-shirts, discs, or whatever.
i suspect in a few years, we will get some donations or support, though.

get some free copies of the disc golf magazine

ask a local store to sponsor you with a few discs or teeshirts

offer a discount on league play and tournaments that the club runs.

See if you can work with a retailer to offer a little discount to your members.

Offer a picnick at the end of the year free to club members..

Let me ask a question.

Will the club make any money? For exmple we run 2 leagues a week and the club gets $1 from everyone that plays except the members of the club.

we don't charge anything for play. there is an optinal ace pot for $1

i like the idea for charging for play and free for club members. we only run 11 at most right now so it might deter new comers.

well it is something to think about, a club does not have to have a bank account but if you ever want to order custom discs or throw a bigger tournament it really helps to have a couple hundred squirlled away.
