Just bought a Pro Wraith

Alright there was a guy out on our local course selling Innova Discs so I asked how much and he said they are all $10 :shock:

So I bought a Pro Wraith because all I have heard is good things about them. I have only had it for 2 days but Im not sure I like it or not. I am an Orc thrower maybe thats why??

I love my wraith for pure distance.

I don't have the speed to get have it flip on me, so I release SLIGHTLY anhyzer. No other disc goes as far for me as the wraith.

You'll probably have more bad shots with the wraith than the orc, but if you need an extra 30 feet and there's not a lot of trouble if you miss right or left, the Wraith is a good tool to have.

I was also an orc thrower (still am) when I found my first pro wraith. As mentioned above, you have to roll it over anhyzer somewhat to get distance out of it. Also, if you don't already have 375'-400' of power, the wraith will most likely be too much disc for you. Take it to a field and practice with it and you should start seeing improvement. It took me a long time to get good with wraiths, but now they are the longest disc I throw.

Yeh I have a strong 300-350' throw with a Beast or an Orc both Champ plastic. So I didnt know if maybe I was throwing it wrong or what. I noticed the huge lip that it has also. I will def give it some more anhyzer this next time. Because with the Orc or the Beast they fly pretty straight then drop off.

you may like it broken in or in a lighter weight more, however I bet you would benifit more from something in a lower grade plastic over your champ distance drivers (dx valk, x avenger, x crush, pro starfire come to mind for your arm speed.)

I throw well with my Champ Plastic. Actually the funny thing is, is that I have been throwing for 6 months and I was throwing it like a regular frisby and getting about a 300'-350' drive just this past week I have been doing the X Step and the Pull through and I have already added on at least 25'.

Beat it up a little. I never liked orcs, but once I learned how to throw a pro wraith, nothing beats it for pure distance.

I do not have a cannon arm and get great distance from a wraith especially once it has broken in a little.

Throw it high and turn it over: the disc will do the rest.

i dont know if anyone else hyzer flips a pro wraith but i do. it goes about 400'

Me last month: "Pssh, I can throw 350' consistently, 375' on a good day and I think I've hit 400' once or twice."

Me now, pulls out Wraith: "Yeah I can get just over 400' 1/3 of the time w/ this."

I just bought two Pro Valkyries though (my former longest disc but lost 'em) so things should get real interesting quickly.
