Unfortunately there is a lot of variation between runs of "Soft" Wizards and "Medium" Wizards. The current Mediums are kind of shiny when new and really, really stiff. The fact that you're comparing it to a KC Roc rather than a dinner plate makes me think it's a Soft. Both of those plastics have that kind of tacky, dull quality, IMO.

I've never seen a Soft Wizard that has the gummy quality of a Super Soft. I have seen Glow Wizards that have it, though.
