you mean like the sap that comes off a pine tree? Ive leaned up against trees on the course befor and got my hands sticky. It did not help imo. even worse, its impossible to get off without soap.

no, more like the controversial substance batters use for grip, as well as pitchers(against the rules for the latter). more grip=more snap? but i guess it could hurt your putting game... maybe a glove with tar for driving?

A. During a round, a player shall not use any artificial device that may assist in making a throw, except those devices that reduce or control abrasion to the skin (such as gloves, tape, bandages, gauze, etc.) and medical items (such as knee and ankle braces, etc.). Items used to prevent slipping on the teeing surface are also allowed. A player is specifically prohibited from using any artificial device that changes the position of the disc in the player’s hand or artificially lengthens any of the player’s throwing levers (fingers, wrist, arm, shoulder, etc.).

It dosnt say anything about aiding in grip on a disc, but it sounds like it could be a no no.

So according to this rule, birdie bags are illegal.

birdie bags dont enhance your throw it removes moisture, if that were the case you couldnt wipe you discs down w/ a towel during the round either. I think the question is wether the item being question enhances your throw directly or not.

what about the Dry Hands product? I dont see any difference in a birdie bag, pine tar, dry hands... If you can wear a glove to play in then you can put junk on your hands for sure.

I believe the intent of the rule quoted is referring to a device which would help project the disc. I would assume any and all grip aids would be permitted.

Birdie bags, dry hands even pine tar okay. Skeet launcher not okay.
