new course weekend~IMAGE~

some friends and I are hitting a new course about 100 miles away (well not new but new to us). Ive heard alot of good things about it and found a picture. looks really sweet. looks like a good place to loose a disc too its called forked run in reedsville ohio, anyone here played it?

yeah. I hear one of the holes tee's off from on top of that dam.

that DOES look sweet. do you know where the tee is for that hole that's pictured? that's gotta be scary if you're coming from somewhere on the left hand side, with that stream so close to the pin.

Im not positive but I would guess thats probly the one that tees off from on top of the dam (the water falling is not a natural falls its a dam). Ill be sure to add more about it after we play it. we are going to leave real early and try to get in three rounds while we are there.

Leavin at 8am. Weather looks good (but cold). Should be a great day for golf. I'm going to try to get some more pics on my cell but the quality wont be to impressive.

wow what a rough day! The course is mostly wide open, very very long holes. the4 wooded holes are insane tight. It was definitly challenging, though I think someone who can throw good distance could come out witha pretty good score if they didnt get hit too hard on the 4 woods holes. I wasnt doing too terribly bad until near the end of the first round when I tossed my brand new x buzzz into the lake I had only played about 5 rounds with it but it was quickly becoming my most used disc. guess Ill have to get another one (or 3) this week. I took some pics with my cell but they arent superb quality by any means. The holes were very long for me, and the layout left alot of space in between but the course is really well taken care of and overall still a fun play.

hard to see but this is the hole right before that, where the basket sits right on top of the damn. this is the one where my new buzzz decided not to turn any and hyzer out right into the water.

to me (assuming its buzzz range 275-350) that hole you lost your buzz on screams forehand knife hyzer for me. and if its over the 325 line mabey a knife hyzer into the side of the damn (depenind on wind) the water there on the left really makes you think about shot selection, I like it.

the tee visible int he pic is the pro tee. if you look closely you can see a second post, that was the marker for the red tee. its a pretty short hole from the am tee, may 220 or so (the pro tee probly doubles taht to almost 400. there was what seems like a very light right to left wind, I guess it was more than it seemed. thing is, way it slopes if you just barely miss the ground you go straight to the water. I almost landed right in front of the basket, then rode about 12 inches high all the way down to the water.
p.s. I cant throw a forhand anything ...

My forehand max for golf is about 300', I use it alot for knife hyzers w/ a newer x pred when theres trouble left (or obstacle right) usually in the wizard range for a more straight shot.
