New Clash :/

I just went on a rainy few day disc golf dvd binge and rewatched Renny and BRP. I'm going to echo what a lot of people are saying and say that the format can easily make or break the Clash DVD. If Renny or BRP had been 666 neither would have been too enjoyable. And while I enjoy a little bit of the in-round commentary and player banter, until they buy a decent mic/wind screen I think the Clash boys should give post-production sound a shot.

I also popped in '06 Skylands, and I think Brinster makes a pretty decent commentator. More input than "Hey, these guys are my friends!" than you get with Crump.

I just watch BRP, and was really impressed, particularly by Timmy Gill. He really seems like a very humble, polite guy. I would have liked to hear him talk more, but Billy does have a way of dominating all the air time. Timmy seems like too gentle of a guy to really be assertive. When he did speak, he had some really interesting things to say about course design. I agreed with what he had to say 100%.

I've also seen Winthrop and Vallarta Ast, and this is my favorite. It was interesting to see how much Nikko's play has improved just in the last couple of years.

Timmy designed / helped design BRP, I think? So I believe that he would have some real good insight into the course design and be able to really discuss it in a interesting manner.

I have not had the pleasure of meeting the man, however. And yes, DGTV was always good stuff.

I just picked up Renny Gold. I loved the course and the action. I about spit out my beer when Crump said, "Damnit Bobby!" after Nate made a poor shot!!

BRP is still my favorite. AST is nice too.

I'm gonna necro this one. My birthday is coming up and so is Christmas. I will probably buy Cliff & Vallarta. I am curious about Dark Side. I may just get all of them just to have the complete set.

I have the darkside and have seen it a couple times. It's a pretty standard clash dvd with a slow start. Seems like they started too early in the morning or something. Gotta love team icehouse vs. team gin.

I'm still waiting patiently for Clash Flyboy to come out. Billy said it won't be happening till next year though.

Yeah, they filmed it around the Atlanta Open last year. I know Feldberg is in it, but that's all I remember.

I will definitely be buying Clash Flyboy if it comes out. That course is straight sick. I have all of the "Clash" dvd's with the exception of the Darkside(No interest in watching that one). I also have the MN. Majestic 3 disc set. It's not bad footage, but not great either. I have pondered picking up the ATL Open set, but have never pulled the trigger.
