Star Vs. Esp

Both Star and Esp are supposed to be the same. However, I think the star is grippier and Esp is more Durable. What do you think?

Yep, I agree. Star is just not as durable or grippy.

star is grippier if it the softer star. innova makes two diffrent stars, a hard and soft version. the hard is more stable than the soft. i think esp is more durable than star but about the same as far as grippyness goes.

from my experience, there are inconsistenecies in ESP plastic as well as star. I have a first run esp surge that feels amazing...better than other ESP discs I own.

My esp surge is not that durable. Granted I am tree prone, yet it is banged up already without much use and has even lost some stability.

The only star I have is a tee rex and it was too over stable for me, so I cant compare.

I'm thinking I like elite z over star.

I was going to throw Millenium's hat in the ring on this one as I really dig the grippy, pliable, durable Sirius plastic that my SOLS's and SOLF's much more than any Star or ESP disc I own. I just received a first run Sirius JLS yesterday, though, and it is stiff and inflexible and kind of slippery, not grippy. It's dome is so stiff I have trouble getting a good grip (I like to dig the ball of my thumb into the flight playe a little) on it. Looks like there are inconsistencies in all 3 brands.

Sirius to me feels more closer to Special Blend. I know some disagree , but I still think that Sirius is Special Blend and that special blend is different form Star.

I also think Sirius is different than Star, they no longer share production facilities and the SOLF's and SOLS's I have are different than every Star disc I own (3 valks, 2 teebirds, 3 tl's, 1 SL, 1 starfire, 4 wraiths, 2 monsters, 1 teerex, 1 aviar, and some I'm sure I'm forgetting). They are grippier, more pliable, a little more resistant to scuffing, and better in weather (cold and rain). I definitely prefer it to the Star. Then again with all the variations is plastic even within the same company, who knows.
