Misery loves company

Postby black udder » Sat Jan 06, 2007 12:06 am

Man, this is killing me.. I had a hip replaced and can't play any golf until February (haven't been able to since Oct 30). All I can do is chat on the forum, study form, buy disc golf equipment and wait... gah!

On the bright side, I've already changed my form a few times and it hasn't hurt me or caused me any bad scores...

On the downside, I now have 3 times as many discs to go field test thanks to everybody's comments about how great disc X is or how must better plastic Y is to throw.

Talk about time dragging....

Sounds like you're spoiled with good weather. There are many of us who don't play between Nov and Feb most years because of the weather.

we're being "blessed" with incredibly good weather for winter. It's been rainy, but 70 yesterday & today.

Blake, I'll consider myself lucky. Thanks for the perspective.

hope you have a swift smooth recovery udder.

maybe you can get a mini basket and set a few holes up around your place.

I have been unable to play regularly since May 2005.

I had shoulder impingement problems from 5/05 til 10/05 and have had a groin injury from 9/05 to the present. I did play some tournaments this past summer with little to no practice and playing at only 70% capabilities has dropped my player rating about 20 points. I haven't played a round since the begiining of October and I'm hoping to rehab over the winter months as to resume play in late March or early April.

I know your pain as well. I have been out since mid July due to lower back pain. I am in therapy now but its frustrating not knowing when I'll be better. I can't even praticing putting really in the meantime as the stance and bending to retrieve missed putts hurts.

I hope you and everyone else in this thread recovers soon!
