How many discs?

Postby domromer » Fri Jan 12, 2007 10:52 am

How many discs to you own? Not how many are in your bag, but the sum total of discs that are in your house, that will either be thrown, or have been thrown.

For me it's 29, not counting stuff for sale.

What about you guys?

Oh Lord, who knows...

Last time I put up my trade list, I had about 75 on it. And that was only stuff that was in decent enough shape for trade. I got tons of old crap, and of course my bag and my backups. I'd say 150-200, but I really have no clue.

Somewhere around 100 or so. Probably 15 putters (mostly wizards, with some new warlocks thrown in) and 20 mids/drivers sit in my throwing stock. The rest is just crap I don't throw anymore. I really need to sell the plastic that just sits in my closet before I move in May though. Sale!

discs

Postby twmccoy » Fri Jan 12, 2007 11:29 am

About 700 right now. All of them were found in lakes. About half of them are Z/champion/star/pro and are in stacks in my bedroom. The rest are in a shed. I think my most common discs are champ orcs and beasts. I've found over 30 of each.

I only play with about 12 discs at a time though.

I had to count them. I found 118. How did that happen in two years?
I usually play with 11 in the bag.

OK, I'm officially renouncing my DiscWhore status. I think I might have like 30, maybe 40 tops. And I was feeling somewhat guilty at having so many discs that I hardly ever use!

I have about 70 of the 7 molds I throw. Then about 20 other miscellaneous discs laying around. . . (all the rest were dontated to my schools club, and random students)
however If i counted how many discs passed through my hands, and my closet in one semester, the number would be well into the triple digits (300?)

huh... i was all ready to renounce my DiscWhore status too, but then I counted them ... 113 and a post for another.

Not the worst, but not too tame. I probably bought 80 this year ( )

Of course, I only carry 20-25, but if I could find that illusive disc golf bag that holds 114 I'd probably be the idiot to carry it.

"Whatcha gonna throw Dave?"

"Gimme a minute... I'm looking for the disc." LOL

I don't even buy discs because they proclaim "you'll crack 400'! I just can't stop buying discs -- they don't even have to be old molds (just bought two more gazelles).

The only disc I've been able to resist is the Torque -- because I know up front, it's a limited supply and I'm not buying a bunch of a disc I haven't thrown and if I buy one and like it, who knows if I'll get another.

Guess I'll have to found a local chapter of DWA.
