Since it's non-sanctioned, are you planning on playing open from now on?

Nah, just throw 18 aces.

Seriously, good luck. I'm feeling ace pot for you. Just keep it on the positive.

You can play open any time you want, but once you accept cash in a PDGA sanctioned event, you can't go back to am without approval from the PDGA.

That has been the rule since atleast the 80s. However, I believe they amended it two years ago to allow you to play am if your rating is 954 or lower. A guy in our region played pro and finished third and collected around $200, then played an A-tier four weeks later as an am. He said he was allowed to do that since his rating was below 955.

Doesn't matter! I came in last! The cool thing was that the second round was paired doubles w/ the best & worst being paired and so on; so we shot -14 the second round which was fun and I did help for sure. Plus he was super impressed with the way I was ripping my Roc around. One thing I did notice was that everyone in that division was superduperdupentously-amazing (well at least consistent) at putting, good to see first hand.

They had sponsors up the crapper so there was a CTP every hole each round, so I got three! Won useless shit, but cool just the same. I also bought two D Cyclones w/ the cactus on them for jacksweather (posts here sometimes) for $1 a piece...and oh yeah, it was all for charity! yay
