Are you kidding me? This was an absolute joke... ABC contacted the PDGA about this? WHY? So they could make fun of 'em? Is anyone else as pissed off as I am about this?

Disc golf aside, that show is horrible. I was reading about how a study had shown that shows like Spongebob squarepants hinder childrens development because they are so fast paced in comparison with shows like Sesame st. Up until now I thought it was silly, now after having watched that train wreck of a show i'm not so sure. They barely gave you time to let a gag sit in before they were on to the next. It's like everyone in the show was rushing to get their points across. I'd rather watch Seinfeld reruns anyday.

Hell vibram probably paid to have their shoes made fun of. Advertising is advertising. This reminds me of when I used to play paintball. Anytime a show would feature paintball the boards would ignite with "they werent wearing masks" and "setting back the sport". Disc golf will survive, I am sure of it. Of the 99% of viewers who had never heard of disc golf before this show, 98.9% of them still wont know or care what disc golf is.

Bowling started to hit the skids shortly after Fred Flintstone picked up the game. Jeez, real bowlers don't walk on their toes! Talk about your misrepresentations. Aaaaaarrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhh. Come to think of it, Don Drysdale was washed up not too long after visiting Greg Brady. Coincidence? I don't think so. Sit-coms have some powerful cultural mojo, it seems.

Tru dat. Those same publicity people are spooked (or maybe they just have a burr in their heads) about the dark picture of the game that has been portrayed by the sitcom. I suppose they'll just have to niggardly accept the fact that ABC reneged on its "assurance" not to mockingly ape the game, though.
