anyone else being asked to verify their identity through paypal?
I guess I havent used paypal for a few months and they are asking me to provide them with my address or some other sort of ID. (feels like im getting my library card)

Apologies if this is too over-simplified.

If you received an email asking for any kind of info, it's probably a scam. Don't click any links you get in emails.

If you type https://www.paypal.com into your browser address bar and the Paypal website asks for an address, it's probably legit. They have my address on file. I have never sent them any ID but I believe they need a billing address that matches your credit card or checking account.

(As a general rule, never send someone a copy of your ID)
