Older disc flight charts/ stats

Postby henryhyde » Thu Apr 11, 2013 11:43 am

My dad has been playing disc golf since the late '80's and I inherited a bunch of older discs from him. Most of them are Innova but are not made any more. I am just getting back into the game after a 2 year layoff and am trying to figure out what all my discs do again. I have a bag full of newer stuff from which I know what to expect. Just curious if anyone has or knows the links to older flight charts that may have some disc characteristics for out of production discs. Thanks.

Welcome to the forums!

It all depends on what you have. Some of the out of production discs you have will probably not have any flight information, maybe just a general description at best. It would be neat if you listed what you have. We do have a resident historian of sorts by the name of Working Stiff. He's been in the game since the 80's I think and he can tell you a lot about what you have.

The wayback machine is a good source. It just indexes websites after updates. But the disc information will only go as far back as the first indexing. If the disc was taken out of production before the advent of the internet and Innova's web page then you will have to look at the discgolfsweden.se disc archive. most descriptions are in english but some of the older reviews are in swedish only.
Good Luck!

We'd echo what keltik said about Working Stiff (3P), the wayback machine, and especially discgolfsweden. But we would also recommend the inFlight Guide as it contains flight data aggregated from a variety of data sources and has the vast majority of Innova's discs (even OOP discs) and WAAAY more discs than any other disc flight resource:

Thank you guys I will check into those suggestions. I don't think I have anything too interesting as far as from a historical perspective. He did give me an Aviar that he won by taking first place in the Ice Bowl, local Charlotte, NC area tournament, in 1994.
