A Great Pond Diving Experience

I just got back from a 10 day trip to Monterrey, Mexico. First thing I did when I got back was play golf. Unfortunatly the day before I left I lost my faveriot disc, my Valkyrie and then before that, my Beast. Then on the third hole I lost my Pro Tee-Bird...

Fortunatly I was in the mood for a little pond diving. This is what all I found.

Innova Champion Beast
InnovaKC Pro Tee-Bird <---can someone explain the KC to me.
Innova DX Valkyrie!
Discraft Elite X.S. (on the bottom it says Stability rating 1.5z/1x)
Innova Shark

A disc that just said Kansas City Disc Golf Open (from 2001 apparently)
A black disc that had like silver markings on it but no name (actually i found this one then when i threw it out of the pond i couldnt find it anymore =( )
A disccraft disc that was Tide-Dyed, felt kinda like a Valkyrie, not sure what it was though.

That made my entire day better. Just an FYI for anyone.

my waders have paid for themselves, not to mention paying for almost every disc I throw, all the postage I pay trading, and even tourneys ;-)

I suppose I just about play for free.

what is a wader? Like something you drag along the bottom? That sounds way easier then 3 people just swimming along the bottom of a gross pond.

have you ever seen fly fishermen? they wear waders so they dont get wet in chest deep water...

hahah wow. yea the waders work i guess i just got in my swim trunks and disc search. that way when i get 8 feet deep i can just swim around.

I did the barefoot thing for a short while, the thing is the best pond out here is a sewage run off and the water is past disgusting, the leeches, not to mention the trash (ive tripped on everything from glass bottles, shopping carts, to whole tvs in that pond) and did i mention the blood sucking leeches?

Please, let's not rehash the whole 'should a disc be returned to it's owner' argument...it wasn't that fun the first time.

Yeah, I went into expo barefoot exactly one time and I cut the back of my foot bad on a rock. Since I got the waders I can find discs year round and not worry about the gross water. BTW, my record haul for one day is 74 discs. I found a rollerblade, golf club and even a .22 rifle in the lakes there. At badlands I pulled a lawnmower out of the lake once.

now what you have to worry about is why exactly that .22 made its way into the pond...
