Lately I have been seeing a small amount of threads that are labeled with new posts. When I check the topic I notice there is no new post visible to me. Furthermore, when I exit the thread it still is labeled with new content. It is as if I am unable to access these posts whatsoever. I am not the most internet/computer savvy person in the world, so does anybody have suggestions? Would clearing my cookies do anything? Not the biggest deal, but I would appreciate any help.

My guess.
Due to the same database issues that have broken the search, if someone posts and then deletes that post, the activity logging system does not update itself with the fact that said post has been deleted. Therefore the logging system says you have unread posts waiting in that thread, when actually those posts no longer exist.
Also, I post as a ghost sometimes, and only animals and sensitives can view them.

I think that's a pretty good guess.
