Sorry if this has already been covered, I did a quick search and didn't find much.
Before the board got moved, the view active topics button was awesome, it was the quickest and easiest way to see which topics had something new to read, now it seems to do nothing. Can we get this fixed?

Doesn't the view unread posts button do something very similar?

"view new posts" does the trick.
I would like your X-Wasps, please.

Yes, but "View new posts" is not available unless you are logged in. I bookmarked the "View new posts" button when I was logged in, and it works (usually) even when I am logged out. It would be very helpful if we could "View new posts" without logging in. Another web site that I frequent has a "Recent active content" button that seems to pull up posts made in the last 24 hours whether you are logged in or not.

view new posts can be less than useful, eg right after noon, view unread does exactly what it says, view active topics often worked better.

Ah, yeah I guess I missed the new posts thing cause I haven't been posting much and therefore not logging in much lately. I'll check it out.

I use Lastpass and have it auto-login, so I get the best of both worlds: lazy/efficient and logged in.

I recently asked Solty about this very thing, as I used this feature ALL the time. As some of you know I haven't been here much after the board was changed, but have been here some recently and sorely missed this feature. BUT, today I clicked it out of habit and BAM, she's working like a charm. /crosses fingers, hope it wasn't a fluke.
