In the survey forum, you should edit the permission settings so that only moderators can post topics, but so that members can reply so that we can see who likes what. That is unless you're afraid of it turning into a haven of flame wars, which could be the case.

i hoped to keep the surveys simple, objective, unbiased, and anonymous. people are free to discuss those topics more in depth in other parts of the forum.

I never even noticed there is a survey forum down there? maybe because there hasnt been a post to it since before I joined the board. I did enjoy going through them and seeing how everyone voted (though its apparently the same 80ish people that voted for all of them). Is it just lack of interest ,or nothing worth asking, thats kept it dead so long?

I have done my part there, as well as read them all. What I'd like to see is the same poll started over. Maybe things have changed, y'know? Maybe start the polls over every year or something like that.

Sounds like a good idea to me. I would definably put on my .02.
