2nd 1st Run Buzzzes

Postby bigs348 » Thu Aug 03, 2006 2:02 pm

Mike at Sun King Discs from the PDGA board:

Discraft will be releasing the 2nd First Run Buzzz for the benefit of The Players Cup '06! This limited production second coming uses the original modified Wasp mold and is produced with the same marbled, pearlescent plastic that the original First Runs were famous for. In addition, each disc will be accompanied with a laminated certificate of authenticity and a full production schedule (colors, weights, etc.) will be released shortly.

I will have a limited amount available at Pro Worlds in Augusta and will start taking pre-orders through the Sun King Disc Sports website within the next 48 hours. The price through Discraft and SportDiscs.com will be $25 for the Blue and Green. Sun King Disc Sports will offer a special package deal that includes a limited edition SuperCOLOR Mini with each Buzzz ordered and will also be the only place to get the White/Clear 2FR Buzzz.

cool, sounds like discraft taking advantage of the hype over the first runs much like cfr rocs... I liked the first run buzzes, but it didnt take much adjusting to adapt to the rest of the runs of the Z buzzz's

Similar, I haven't thrown a midnight buzzz though so I can't tell you how they differ. I know the first run (and i guess 2nd first run) buzzz's have "WASP" on the inside of the rim, as it was a modified wasp mold, instead of it's own.

Yeah, IMO, i would say the midnight buzzz and first run's are similar. Both are flat topped buzzz's

heh... like seriously,
calling them 2nd 1st run is like... retarded.

makes me want to go start a band called "the new originals."

wonder how many more discs discraft would sell if they just made all of them that way.

oddly enough, the wasp engraved x buzzz's are domier than the current ones.

Ooh.. the white/clear one with the ghost stamp is so cool looking! I just can't bring myself to spend $35 on a disc though. If I hadn't switched to Rocs, I'd have one on the way.

buzz

Postby twmccoy » Sun Aug 13, 2006 9:52 pm

Heck, last year alone I pulled out like 5 first run buzzes from lakes. The one I have in my bag is very sweet indeed. I still don't think they fly any different than later runs though.

I save every Z buzz I find usually. I have a stack of about 12. Half are first runs.
