Personally, I found the DX Gremlin to be a bit squirrley (sp?) but the Prolines (Champion plastic) were pretty good. I found they're a bit faster than a Roc and not quite as predictable, even in Champion plastic. I think they're just not good enough to throw for a discontinued disc. There are much better discs that are out that are readily available.

However, I do have two unthrown, 174 and 175g Prolines available if anyone is really interested.

I thought they were the best forehand mid, roc stability but the control of a smaller diameter mid.

I don't have too much experience, but I threw someone else's. My first impression was good; I like it, but it is less stable than any mid I throw. Not sure how it would fit in my bag.

would a gremlin make a good understable mid spot once it's broken in? since none of my rocs can seem to get understable...
usually i'll step up to an understable driver or a roc with anhyzer.

I haven't thrown the STAR version, but the Champion version was way more overstable than the DX. I'd call the DX version understable and the Champ version stable to overstable.

The one I was messing with was DX. I would imagine the champ to me more stable, and the star leaning towards very overstable. I was thinking it would be a good turn over disc after a one disc round.

 As long as they are not KC plastic, it shouldn't take long to get them to a stage of understability. My flippy DX Roc is about 7 months old I, and it still could be a lot flippier, so i do understand what you mean, for now I say work with flippy drivers and Rocs released with anhyzer until your Roc is broken in enough.

this isn't true stable though.

heh... it takes me 2+ years to beat a dx roc to the point where it will turn on a clean throw.
