Since getting my hands on newer runs of Gold and Opto Strikers, I no longer agree with this. I think they're pretty similar now.

I'm only throwing optos when I throw strikers now so I haven't tested any of the new GLs.

I have a relatively flat, heavy, yellow (nearly clear) Opto Striker. I got it last october and have only played a couple of rounds with it, but it is VERY stable. More stable than my Champ Eagle Xs. I would liken to more to a banshee (but.. faster). I can't get it to flex out- it will flip up to flat but fade very quickly.

I'll have to try a different one in the future.
