Gateway Plastic

Postby Granduter » Sat Sep 09, 2006 12:35 pm

So I haven't been able to find good comparisions of gateway's different levels of plastics to innova's or discrafts.
Someone wanna help me out here? I just lost my Buzz-GT and decided I would like to try a sabre I just don't know what plastic is good.

Gateway E is comparable to opaque champ (or old ce) or star/esp (mostly a urethane I believe)

Gateway H is comparable to innova pro

Gateway S is entry level (ie. dx) but MUCH more durable than other entry level plastics.

The sabre is a good disc, no doubt. I like the E sabre as a versatile fairway driver.

A closer Gateway replacement for your buzz would be an E element, though.

Element-X is a replacement for the Buzzz or Roc, but a tad bit more overstable.

Element is an understable midrange, easy to turn over and it's great for those Anhyzer midrange shots.

The Evolution Plastic is our Pro-line plastic

The High Performance is our Champion/Star/ESP line plastics but doens't get hard in cold weather like those other lines do.

The Sure-Grip Plastic is the DX plastic, but way way more durible.

I agree with you if we are talking S plastic.

Also,

ESP/Z Buzz = E Element

ESP/Z Wasp = E Element X

imho

Lots of Gateway reps here. Cool. I am a merchandiser as well.

The Sabre is a great disc, I compare it a lot to a DX Gazelle.

Is this how you meant to say this or did it come out wrong?

Which is more straight?

the S has a higher resistance to turn, AND less fade, its alot straighter.

By just straight I meant thats how it flies, its not a great hyzer disc, beat to hell it makes a ok anny disc (takes a while to beat enough) but what its really for is picking a line about 10 or 15 to the right of the pin and pulling it straight on that line.

I have a wasp in my bag that is still in the bag and the buzz overlapped it a bit. With the sabre I had in mind to fill a void that I find inbetween my TL and my wasp. The sabre seems to fill it

I have an E Sabre that is really soft and you can bend it pretty easily. The plastic feels really great, but it doesn't feel like Z or Champ plastic at all. It is almost like a stronger S plastic. When I have bad tree hits, I can bend it back to its original shape. Is this a new type of E plastic?
