Thanks. That sounds like a good idea, but I may be looking for something slightly faster than a Teebird to start the 150 experience with. But I'm not sure. Esp Avenger, OLF and S PD are available in 150-class, how would they compare?

That is the order of stability from the lowest to the highest. S PD 150 is the most dependable out of these in the winds. And most tolerant to OAT because it is the most HSS and fights back and fades well.

First runs are usually a hair more stable.

Love the 150g S PDs. Don't know if I get that much more distance out of them. Perhaps a little. But I was impressed about how workable the are. It holds whatever line...etc.

I must admit I am a 150 Lover. When I first started playing I was throwing a 175 teebird, haha. But it was pretty. Soon I switched to 162 Orcs , I was able to throw them better, but when I tried to play at lower elevations, I realised I was forcing them over, and without the elevation(I live around 4200ft) they weren't fighting back.

Once I came back home, I switched to a 150 valkyrie, because it wouldn't fight back if I threw it incorrectly. It took me awhile to learn it, but it made my throw a lot cleaner. I actually recently took it out of my bag because it is my furthest driver, but it needs a nice wide s turn to work the best, and the course I usually play is a tighter wooded course where I usually throw my 166 leopard or 168 teebird instead. Although I do have a 150 teebird that I am learning that seems to do quite well.

I have a 153g Gummy Champ Teebird that will always come back, as long as there is no crosswind. I absolutely love the disc. I use it to refine my touch on forehand shots as well, you have to be nice and smooth with it.

Ray, what plastic do you recommend for 150 Vikings? I am looking for a Valkyrie complement, and noticed that Innova Proshop has some 150 Champ Vikings.

Speaking of Ray's favorites, Diamond Light was responsible for two of my three birdies at Seneca yesterday (the other one was with a Valkyrie). My favorite shot was on 18A, a 220-foot uphill hyzer. I used to throw a Comet or Roc on a direct but tight route, but even good shots would leave a 20-30' putt. I was able to hyzer the Diamond up the main fairway, and it flipped up and then gliiiiiiiided left to the basket for a drop-in birdie.

Digging the Diamond, but only the red ones with a higher parting line. Both of my fluorescent greens have lower parting lines and fly squirrelly.

I traded for an unthrown 150 X Surge, mostly for grins. It flew about like my Star Valk plus 20 feet, but received a major ding from a minor tree encounter.

i recently got a qolf 157 x-out and am loving this disc i fh it ans it has a little turn and a very predictable forward fade.

How do the 150 z flicks work for thumber or is there a disc in the 150 class that works better?

I have two 150 Pro Pigs and a 165. The 150s do not have the drop rate that a heavier one would, but they definitely do not have the forward momentum, making them fade out harder because it runs out of speed faster. Basically, it is far less predictable but a lot easier to make those 30-40 foot putts.

Ray, thanks for the reply. I dusted off my 150 DGR P P PDs, and they may have solved my moderately overstable driver dilemma. The S PDs are still too beefy for me, but the P PDs were doing just what I wanted - similar lines and distance to the Star Valk, but with less turn and more fade.

Have you (or has anyone) compared Vikings and PDs? JFC gives them pretty similar flight ratings, and (for me, anyway) Vikings fly more stably than their rating.
