I love Spiders. I can throw it just like a driver with approach form or distance form equally well. Sentinels in primo plastic new max weight, Gator X and an S Blaze to a lesser extent compete with ease of release, mild initial hyzer requirement and ability to flip flat at high speeds. They just don't do any of those things as well and Spider ain't a meat hook like those. For me Spider became the basis of my game. Since I'm only able to get half the spin of pros with wide winged drivers having a mid fly like a Striker to 280' is great. Both handle winds ok. Easy grip doesn't hurt either.
I haven't yet thrown Groove in heavy winds. I haven't seen anything odd in moderate winds yet but I've only thrown it on low line drives nose flat or down or steep uphill with at least 35 degree ascent angle. Up a ski jumping hill. What I like about my light Groove is that it's almost (practically) as long and HSS as my new 167 Pro Destroyer with a huge dome but with less skip to the left.
The worst joke of the day: Over rated discs=fade hard and drop fast early in the flight aka overstable
