both of these discs are still in production, but the XD is probably in the stiff old plastic that people loved but was prone to cracking.
the aviar xd = aviar extra distance, which i believe briefly held the distance record after it was released in the realm of 500-550' in ~1986-87. it is currently known as the XD and is labelled by innova as a putt & approach disc. the first roc, now known as the classic roc was created from the XD by adding a bead to it, a process which was first performed by adding a bead to the stingray to create the cobra.
the eclipse is based on a design trend in the 80's similar to lightning's b-2 (now known as the #2 flyer) and p-38 (now known as the #2 hookshot). it is the predecessor to the tracer, scorpion, phenix, etc. era of drivers.
