You missed out, I used to have quite a few BB red Rocs. It was a stupid St. Louis thing for a while, Robo started it (or at least I'm blaming him for it!) A bunch of us on a card one day had red Rocs and Robo started doing a Bono impersonation whenever somebody pulled one out..."This is not a rebel song, this is Sunday Bloody Sunday"...stuff like that. You had to be there. Anyway, it happened a lot that day so the red Roc thing was a little (and I mean little) inside joke for a while. They must have all hit the trading block as the one in the picture is my last, and it's a very unsexy 170 g (which may explain why it never got traded!)

I would love to hook everybody up with Big Bird Ranchos, but all of my Ranchos except two are custom stamped. I have one fresh one that will probably be that way at my estate sale (which my be soon if i can't think of something to get my Wife for our Anniversary) and the previously mentioned 170 g that is still in my thrower pile for the inevitable day that I wander to the basement drunk and decide to put Rocs back in my bag where they will stay for 10 years until somebody mentions Comets to me again...life is somewhat predictable that way.

Sooo...anyone looking for BB Ranchos, shoo! I don't have any!

Ah, Robo. I haven't seen him in years. He's fun to play with.

Robo had a cult following amongst the hackers in St. Louis back in the day. For some reason a lot of the Open guys in St. Louis were not all that friendly on the course. Most of them were OK guys, they just were very competitive on the course. For a long time we stopped mixing divisions in the first round of local tournaments becasue the Open guys said they could not focus with the hackers on their card. I can remember running local flights with Open guys throwing a fit blaming some new guy for his bad first round..."I couldn't get in a rhythm watching him shank all his throws"... Anyway, Robo was from Texas or some damn place where the local custom was for the open guys to help the Ams, so he was a blast. He would relax and joke around and show us thing to help us improve. He spent the better part of the 1st round of one tournament trying to teach me to putt, and I still use a lot of what he showed me that day 12 years ago. When your options were a round with Robo or a round with a guy who was going to glare at you every time you missed a putt, you were really hoping to hear Johns name on your card.

I haven't seen him in years as well. I see his name from time to time, so I know he is around.

That's it exactly. There was a span of 2-3 years where I got to play with him in Springfield quite a few times back in the late '90s/Early 00s. I could throw as far as any of the pros, but the rest of my game was very fragile. He showed me a lot and wasn't an ass because an AM2 player always played pro brcause his buddies were pros.

Any of you guys actually throw 01 CE Rocs? Any besides the Yellow ones?

I had got 7 off a guy for $100 tryin to get rid of them wondering why he spent 20-25 each for them. All are gone now sadly.

I saw one in Yeti's bag last week. The only other guys I remember throwing them lived in Arkansas. Kelly Watson threw one (and probably has about 50 more mint ones), Aleksey Bubis threw one, and Kyle McClure threw one.

They do feel really really nice, and $25 isn't too much to spend on a disc IMO these days. $250 for a used ones is though.

A blow to the roc community. I would rant about how good the roc is but I am not sure where to start. Its awesome just leave it at that.

My first Rocs were Sannys with the Discovering the World flamingo stamp like the one in the center.

True story of my stupidity...I didn't like the Sannys. I used to throw the Lightning Spitfire as my mid. I didn't convert to Rocs until the Ontario was out. As a result, I can't hook anyone up with a Sanny. I can however hook you up with a sweet glow Spitfire.

There's also a DTW on the lower right. The one in the center is pretty new, but does have an Ace on it from Arkansas from a blind hole I had never played before.

With the exception of the Roc on the middle left, all of those are Ranchos.

These are the 20th Anniversary Sannys I mentioned earlier. Note that there's some writing just above the tail; it says "KC '09", and will not be on the ones set to be released later this month. I heard that the KC '09 Rocs total somewhere in the 1000 range.
