i've still only seen the OLX mold on 1.2 MOLF

team feedback was in favor of the original mold + dome, rather than the X mold. the X mold was tested in S and M, but not Q. that run was like 25 discs too, so no leaky-leaky into general stock.

i believe i've seen them in Q as well. i'll have to double check, but i know for certain they are out there in both the M and S. i'm not as big of a fan of the X mold and i kind of wish they had called the x mold 2.1 instead of 1.2/1.3, etc.

yeah i could be seeing a mixed sampling too... and as usual it could be 1.2's stamped as 1.3's. from what i know, i'd be surprised if that mold ever hit S or Q... it was unfavorable and it was a patch-up for the wear rate of pro plastic. proto results = "not new enough for a new model, but acceptable as a life-extender for MOLF"

regarding 2.1 mold naming... i argued for that and john shot it down. didn't want to scare the consumer away from the flagship driver

Sounds like the source of the PD/OLF stability confusion is starting to make itself clear...It seems Blake assumed the OLX was standard now in all plastics, but really 99% of people still have the less stable original OLFs, which are a touch less stable than the PD (which is why are OLF throwers are reporting such when trying the PD). Lets just hope they don't tinker any more with the PDs...

we've had a few tie dyed SOLS that were actually SOLF w/ the OLS stamp.

actually, most new OLF's i have gotten my hands on are the newer mold. we have a few locals that keep wanting to get more 1.1's. all the newer ones have the blunted out nose.

What was your testing results of the new blunt nose? Was it more or less stable than the 1.1?

1.2 molf is considerably more stable than the 1.1 molf...the 1.2 solf is much more stable than the 1.1 solf.

the 1.1 would flip a tiny bit at 325' of power. it had better glide, more like a flat eagle x.
the 1.2 needed 350'+ of power to get the same amount of flip. it had way less glide.

the fade was about the same.

the 1.2's made a better headwind/overstable driver.

the 1.1's made a better versatile distance driver.
