So what you all are saying is that abodes turn less then ions? And fade less?

They turn less than old textured Ions and fade less than new Ions for me. Newer Ions don't turn at all for me. Anodes don't turn
for me under normal conditions, but they will in a headwind before an Ion does.

Like discspeed said, they turn less than the old IONs and fade less than the newer ones, and personally I turn even the new IONs easier with OAT than I turn the Anodes.

Anodes are a little easier to release cleanly thanks to no bead and when released uncleanly penalize less than Ions thanks to the higher HSS.

I don't think the Anode has more HSS than the current Ion. The Anode is more aerodynamic, so it recovers quicker from OAT, so OAT affects the Ion's stability more.

How do you know if you have a new one or old one? I'm guessing by texture? Which again what does this look/feel like?

Sorry for the dumb questions but I have a neutron ion and a proton anode. And they seem the same with the ion just a tad and I mean a tad bit more fade

He has a Neutron Ion, so it is a new one. The Ion and Anode are not all that different...Much like an Aviar/BB Aviar or the Wizard and Warlock. The difference has more to do with feel and style preference than the flight differences of the two discs.

Ok i was thinking of HSS in terms of the disc doesn't flip as easily so it is more HSS and the Ion flips much more easily for me thanks to the bead scraping my small hand.

yeah well I have both... I have an anode in proton and a ion in neutron... But for me I prefer the ion... Still wish it was a little more hss... I can hyzer flip it and get it out to 275-300 but it still turns and barely comes back... But heck at least I have an approach game now thanks to this disc... ha!

You have a modern Ion because all Ions that say "Neutron" are the new kind. Old opaque Ions have texture on the underside as well as annoying circle tooling.

Discpeed or anybody, have you beaten a Proton Anode in really good yet? Curious as to how an Anode wears in.

Not me...I've mainly been using softs, and I've not really noticed any break in yet.

Well I took my N Anode out for another round today and I still don't like it. It is an amazing lob/pitch putting putter but I don't like it for anything else and I don't lob/pitch put on a normal basis.

I have one I am not really fond of yet either. I am going to abuse mine till its flippy and see if I like it more than my beat up eclipse ion.
