Fixed. In general, you can search DGR forum titles using the following as a template:

allintitle:firebird site:discgolfreview.com/forums

Substitute whatever you are searching for instead of "firebird". This is a good stand-in until the internal DGR search function is repaired.

i also prefer not to have to compensate for any kind of fade on the putter.

nose up definitely has better range than flat but it's a matter of philosophy.

i think people should be able to perform all types of nose angle putts, up, flat, and down, with at least some level of proficiency because you will face the need for all types of putts during varying conditions.

e.g. downhill requires nose down. uphill requires nose up. headwind requires flat.

each style has some advantage over the other in certain situations and at times, each style will dictate (or is dictated by) the choice of putter.

nose up favors neutral to understable putters.
nose down can have some difficulties with heavy stable to overstable putters due to a fast drop speed.
flat will work with any putter,

nose up favors longer putts (assuming a neutral to understable putter)
nose down favors short putts
flat is a jack of all trades, master of none.

This is from an old technique thread but I thought it fit in this thread, for people wondering what weight drivers they should be throwing etc:

it's hard because it's primarily based upon hand strength but at the same time it's based upon technique. like, i've never met a long thrower who didn't have above average hand strength, but at the same time i've met plenty of guys who can crush walnuts with their hands who don't have technique to throw far, and thus would fall into "weaker hands" weights.

in general, a rule of thumb...
for people who throw fairway drivers:
200' or less:
putters up to 172g
midrange up to 170g
fairway drivers 145-165g
distance drivers shouldn't be in their bag

250':
putters up to 175g
midrange up to 172g
fairway drivers 160-169g
distance drivers up to 166g

300'
midrange up to 175g
fairway drivers up to 172g
distance drivers up to 169g

350'
distance drivers up to 172g

425'
midrange up to 180g
fairway drivers up to 175-176g
distance drivers up to 175-176g
