Lol I know what the Pepsi Challenge is and they did it in the 90's too, just didn't know how it related to Discs.. I didn't know if this was some formula you had for testing discs against each other

well I was planning on just getting 3 of each disc (1 pro/X 1 champ/Z and 1 Star/ESP) and throwing them in a field and/or at a course (probably Va-Du-Mar). I would probably have to artificially season the Pro/Mill versions of the PD and OLF to compare it to an Avey.
I'm planning this "pepsi challenge" for some mid ranges this fall/winter.

I would recommend at least trying each one to see which one you like the most. My bet is that you will either stick with the Avenger or go with the Olf.

well y'all have seen my stack of Avengers. I'm too vested and too lazy to switch. I was just trying to fight boredom. My Buzzzes have been messing with my head lately and that's why I'm doing the pepsi challenge with mids.

Avengers, eh? Excellent choice.
I've been rocking aftershocks as my stable mid. I liken it to a faster roc.I was playing mids and putters only today and I parked this hole with my aftershock:

The basket is at the very end of the fairway, straight ahead. I thought it was short until one of the guys I was playing with told me it was about 15 ft left of the basket.

I use the Hornet for a stable to overstable mid and I am satisfied with them. The buzzzes are okay but they just aren't doing what I remember them doing. I also throw putter A LOT since the courses here are shorter on average. I mean I used to play Zebulon at least twice a week and throw Avenger on about 9 holes. the courses here I throw Polecat for at least 9 holes.

When I got into discraft for a little while I stocked up on some old AvengeR stamped avengers. Now I have no reason to have them. Great disc though. Was soooo close to being a PD just not quite there.

My beloved 1st runs.
The Avenger (once beat) had a great flip up flight to it. But didn't have the straight finish I wanted, instead it usually turned over and held. I have some new ones with higher PLH's that are pure BEEF though and very awesome. I could power through most headwinds with them, it made my preds seem not as special.

I will admit you have to hold your mouth right to get the Avey to finish straight. I have a couple of pre doss sig X Aveys that will finish straight. the rest fade out or finish right. I really like the finish right capability since my forehand tops out at about 300 (flexing a force).

Has anyone thrown an ESP/Z 150 Avenger? If so, what do they fly like?
