dga m-14 or machlite?

I am looking to upgrade from my innova skillshot and am interested in either one. any thoughts?

I got the M14 a while back. As it is, it kind of sucks. Not enough chains, and you get tons of blow throughs easily. I did a mod of it by adding some more chains, which made it better. But it still has some issues near the center pole if a disc gets turned on its side. I wish the M14 had an even number of inner chains so that I could try to make it more vortex-like. I'd say get the Machlite.

For a practice basket, spit outs can be a good thing. You have to practice hitting your putts perfectly.

The gateway bullseye? That's what I was thinking of as well.

machlite for sure. it's an all around better target than the m-14. if you want an all metal basket, go with an in-step over a m-14. use the money you save to add an inner set of chains.

Mach Lite all the way 100%. That is by far the best travel / practice basket on the market, if you can't make a permanent one in your yard.
I have 2 skillshots, a DGA Mach Lite and an Innova Disc Catcher Traveler with the net on the center chains. The Mach Lite is hands down the best.
The only benefit better on the skillshot however is the 12" putting zone when you push the bottom cage up. It's great for creating mental focus training.

The gateway bullseye? That's what I was thinking of as well.

The bullseye is garbage made from PVC pipe and plastic chains. We received one as a prize for finishing 6th in the nation for the the Ice Bowl one year and when we got it, we were very disappointed. We tried to use it as a fundraiser prize and no one bid on it or even wanted to throw in a buck to try and win it.
If you want a thin target, go to The Home Depot and buy all the components for a fraction of the cost and make your own.

Didn't realize that. In that case, I think your best bet may be to hang a rope and tape it for your basket opening. If you can hit the rope with the meat of the disc repeatedly, you should be in good shape with your putting. Not quite as satisfying as hearing chains and having it catch it, but just as good if not better in practice and a fraction of the cost.
