Maxing out Teebird?

I have been a strong advocate for slow plastic for the last 5-7 years. In those years I have been throwing nothing faster than a firebird. I can put my teebird out to 400-420 and a valk to 440 tops. Is this as far as this plastic.can go? I feel I have hit a plateu and im wondering if its equipment related? The reason I ask is because I recently tried out my cousins teedevil and pounded it 35' past my 170 tb. Teebird was at about 390-410.

well in 2002 when Christian Sändström set the record at 825 ft another guy set it at 815 (like 15 minutes before) with a DX TB. It has distance potential. I'm thinking (guessing more like) that 420 on a golf line is about the upper limit of a TB.

If you are throwing a teebird 400' you should probably at least mess with a wraith.

Bah you can go straight to speed 14 no problem. And the Valk is speed 10 i think. Or 9.

Out of curiosity, have you ever thrown a PD?

You can obviously get TBs to go longer (since there are people who can get a Roc to go over 400'...) but in your situation you really should think about adding something faster, you've definitely got the technique. DD, Wraith, Sword, Flow, Destroyer are all good choices that most likely would give you more distance, or at the very least allow you to reach equal distance on lower lines.

You might also want to give a shot to some faster control discs like the PD.

Discmania Power Driver. Innova manufactures them and in the Finnish trade registry Discmania has an alternate name of Innova Europe. The PD is the proverbial longer Teebird but they vary so much that it can be a lot of other things as well depending on the disc you get. Check out the dedicated thread for PDs.

the PD or power driver or Freak, is a faster, more stable teebird but its not that much faster. A lot of teebird lovers use this disc if they need more distance than their teebird can dish out. It sounds like exactly what you need.
