I have a pearly old-mold/original mold beast that is just plain magic for me. I love it! What can I replace it with? Is it actually an Orc? I'd take recommendations from Innova or Discraft.

Orc, or Flash, or Riot, maybe even an Elite X Avenger (non SS). You could step up a speed with a Wraith or Surge (maybe even SS). I would say just throw an Orc.

Orc or Flash. They changed the beast mold when the orc came out because they were so similar.

I haven't thrown old Beasts and QOLSs side by side so for a copy i don't know but the QOLS is a great disc in its own right for shorter straight shots. Orcs vary from what i've heard i've only thrown flippy fairly hard fading ones but it did take the spot of the original Beast in the minds of Innova at least.
Flat shots need running on the center line of the tee and planting each step on the center line. Anhyzer needs running from rear right to front left with the plant step hitting the ground to the left of the line you're running on. Hyzer is the mirror of that.

Thanks much. I'll probably try the Surge out of curiosity. I had an XS- it felt to me like a control driver, but there was nothing really special to it, not particularly long, I think I bought it too heavy. Felt like a longer Gazelle (which I love)
Is there a recommended plastic for the Surge? I have a Z Wasp that's brilliant, I'd assume just buy the Z, but I don't know ESP all that well.

I've had my hands on a few QOLS's that I would imagine would resemble the old mold beasts remarkably (from how they are described at least, I have no experience throwing them). Almost like an orc with less fade. One of mine currently is like this (one of the prototype stamped QOLS's). Significantly higher PLH than others.

Valk, New Beast, Orc, Wraith, Sword, OLF. The new Beasts are just fine and they bomb (not into a wind

.
Pure, Rhyno, Roc, Saint, QOLF, Astra, Quasar, Predator
