I just got a Starlite Valkyrie, and it seems a lot more understable than any other Valk I've thrown. That may be because I am able to release it with more speed than the heavy discs; I'm not sure.

It is most likely not the speed it is really understable. I taught the basics of throwing to a PE class and the kids ditched the Starlite because it flipped for them and that was under 200'.
Flat shots need running on the center line of the tee and planting each step on the center line. Anhyzer needs running from rear right to front left with the plant step hitting the ground to the left of the line you're running on. Hyzer is the mirror of that.
