Dan posted on DGCR a few months ago that he was still making discs.

That is good news. I have heard good things about their discs, especially the Flying Squirrel.

What kind of flight does the Squirrel have on a flat release at around 280 feet? Does it have some turn and fade or is it pretty straight?

I would love to have a disc that has -3 HSS and 3 LSS at 280-300 feet but I don't know if it is physically possible. I suppose throwing a flex shot with an overstable mid would accomplish the same thing.

picked up a Secret Weapon and a Gamma Ray. The SW reminds me of a CTD in feel and flight and the GR reminds me of a discraft talon being high speed stable and low speed over stable. But this is based off of one disc each a that are right out the box.
