I have found a few #2 drivers on the bottom of lakes.

I found a # 2 hookshot in the water too, pretty deep mud might have cought it, would have had to hit really hard to get there though (tw, it was at hole 2 at expo where the muck is really deep.)

a lot of the lightning ones are weight dependent. the #2's and #3's generally float below a certain weight.

Most of the lightings I've found were heavy. And yes I've found some #3's as well. These things didn't get caught in the mud, they sank. I even found a 148g #2 driver one time that was sunk.

the #3 flyer and #3 driver were not designed to float. the #3 hyzer/hookshot/slice were.

the grippy swirly plastic also will not float.

a lot of floatability depends upon how the disc lands. if it lands upside down and knifes down in a manner where the bottom of the disc fills with water, they often will not float.

i don't really think floating discs are worthwhile, because even if they do float, they just sit there on the water taunting you unless you are patient enough to wait for it to drift to shore. 99% of the time people get sick of waiting and the first person to be within stick range from shore that sees it claims it.

I actually have a couple dragons that are fairly overstable and I will throw them on lake holes occasionally (not especially long ones though). Any other floater forget it. They stink. I have never seen a lighting disc I like.

I found a 169g Quarter K in the lake at expo last time out. This one definitely did not float. Somebody must have shanked it bad because it was way out in the lake.

Speaking of floating Discs, I was @ my local shop and they had a new shipment of Hydras, and they were exptremely slippry and felt nothign like the old discs, what gives? Anyone know (*poke* BLAKE *poke* the mold info guru)?
