How ya liking that Element-X I've heard a lot of peopel talkin about that disc lately. Is 182g a legal weight?

I bought and that is what they are labeled...

Legal? Never even thought of it - They are labeld PDGA approved - but that is in the mold itself.

I use the Element to go around trees to the left and the Element-X to take trees going to the right of them.

Works fine for me.

I seem to be able to throw the Element-X about 15 to 20 farther from point to point too.

Nice, sounds like a good disc. How's the plastic feel?
As for the weight, I jsut htought everything over 180 was illegal, unless it was a condor, but each disc must have it's own weight that is legal.

Played in the rain, freezing rain and snow today - never slipped - I love Evolution Plastic, but I am biased.

The max weight depends on that approved by the PDGA

182g is the LEGAL max weight of the Element and Element-X, actually if you want the full list here it is, the element could come in 183 technically, well thats if they do round up but they probably round down so eh 182 for both sounds good

hybrid, leopard, sabre, roadrunner... these seem like they might overlap. what are the ideal situations for each of these? are there situations where you aren't sure which one to throw?

The RoadRunners are my all out Distance Disc when I have room to the right...

Hybrid for low ceilings - sabre when ever I can with higher ceilings and the Leopard is for one particular basket that it is pure money on - it's a comfort disc.

When I have room to the left I will throw the avenger - three targets on the course.

And I throw the Tracker lower ceilings with slight fades to the left.

I am more accurate with the Sabre but I can throw the Tracker farther.

I have been throwing the E sabre now for three weeks - I have hit the bottom of the basket pole with it now twice.

I planned on pulling out the Champion Leopard but I just can't yet - I mean it is a guaranteed Deuce on #17 on my home course...

If I lose it, I will not replace it.

Other than the Leopard see any other overlap or hole in the bag?

I also keep discs that I like just for a particular hole.

I get grief for carrying avengers and trackers quite a bit. I see more overlap between my cyclones and trackers personally, and I figure I'll eventually choose one and remove the other.

i know what you mean about the "guaranteed duece" for the disc on the hole. make sure to try another disc out, though, when you're practicing. i think the E sabre is pretty similar to a champ leopard... at least mine is. i'm playing a round tomorrow that is a "guaranteed duece" hole if i use my pro starfire... i'm trying to get into DX valkyries, though and i feel like they overlap. i think i'll just throw both. i'm so excited i get to play a real round tomorrow and at stafford lake, none the less. my home course is on standby... in a good way, though.

Tweaked the set up again.

This is what I have been playing with for a month now.

dropped 9 shots from my game...

shooting a 60-61 pretty consistent now...

1 Wizard Super Soft , 2 Wizard Soft and 2 Wizard Mediums - all at 175g - putt with the SS and drive with the Medium - use all five to practice and rotate.

S Element-X 172g
S Element 169g
Star Stingray 169

E Blaze 174g
E Sabre 168g

Z Tracker 169
X Tracker 169
Champ Roadrunner 167 and 168 - Just Rotate them

I have pulled the E plastic Element and E plastic Element X, the Champion Leaopard, the E Hybrid, The Z and X Avengers and the Hydra and the Dragon.

Liking the S-Series plastic a lot more now. Stubbornly backed away from the E plastic.

I am getting alot more distance from my drivers now - Trackers pretty much straight and the RoadRunners are going more right now. Just didn't have any luck throwing overstable distance drivers so I try and place approach shots to get "better" second shots.

Still don't have the Bid "D", but I am now reaching a couple of the baskets from the tee now - that feels good.
