I read these descriptions of the TL's flight... and it sounds like what my Tracker does...

TL vs Tracker - are they dif enough or is it duplication?

the TL is very dfiferent than the SL, both in speed, and flight characteristics.

the Tracker is quite a bit more overstable than a TL.


in terms of speed, the TL is slow, the tracker is medium, the sl is fast. the roadrunner sits between the tracker and sl.

the old SE/CE TL's were a lot closer to the tracker, but the current ones are a lot less stable in both star and pro plastic.

the tracker is more versatile than the current TL.

Let's say I start throwing the TL in place of the RoadRunner and continue to use the Tracker.

is the SL the next level of Disc to add to the bag?

And what will be the signal that I am ready to throw the faster SL? What should I be able to do with a Tracker or TL that I would know that I am ready to start throwing an SL?

And is there a highspeed driver that you would suggest that is better than a SL for a "first" high speed driver for somebody when they reach that next plateau?

the SL is a few jumps up the ladder.

speedwise from a tracker:

1 step: valkyrie, viking, sidewinder
2 steps: wildcat, old beast, avenger
3 steps: flash, orc, sl
4 steps: wraith, venom, illusion

my advice would be to huck a few dx valks around and see what you want from there. they may fly great for you though.

for the most part, once a dx valk becomes too unpredictable, you will likely be ready to jump right to step 3.

Are CE Valks known for their abnormal distance qualities? I can put my CE Valk out 400' on a fairly straight line(it scares me a valk is this predictable on narrow fairways...) whereas I can't with other discs on a wide open fairway including Tsunami, Starfire-x, SL, Orc... When I do get them to do what I want it may get me an aditional 15'...

the ce valks were abnormal in that they were super straight. d-wise they were always shorter than dx.
