i would hesitate at trying to use the sidewinder for anything controlled...
they just aren't stable enough to really depend (stress on the word depend) on for anything but turnovers and max d shots with a lot of room to work.

well by controlled i meant for straight drives where i dont want to throw something that requires lots of power. i can turn it over pretty easily, but for a nice finnese driver it has worked nicely so far.
im still kinda learning each of the discs, so im sure i will eventually know exactly when to throw which. im sure i will get more comfortable throwing the SW and it will work its way into a small niche, and the ZXL will come back out.

ah yes, i would use the term finesse instead of controlled.
to me, controlled means high speed stable, not a lot of low speed fade, overall straight, less concern for d.
