It's a freakin awesome disc! It's a great complement to the buzz too. When most folks are pulling out their Rocs around here, my wasp is out and gliding down the fairway. It's always getting a "what was that you threw?!" response...

My wasp and buzz (and shark, coyote, roc, champ roc, beat roc, and mrv )were replaced by an s element x. That said, the wasp makes it back into my bag on occasions simply because I like watching it fly. It is an excellent disc. I also use it for the wooded courses around here when I don't want to slam my element x into a tree or two.

For wind or hard turns, the Z Wasp flat out performs.
I have 3 Z Wasps and 2 X Wasps. That is more than any other disc I own. Maybe that tells you a little about my feelings for this disc.

I also have 2 midnight Z Buzzes and one D Buzz. I shouldn't need a mid range for quite some time unless I lose my D Buzz.

I hate losing a good buzz

On Joe's Universal Flight Chart, the Wasp and Roc are nearly identical; with the Wasp being only .5 more stable at low speeds...3 for the Wasp, 2.5 for the Roc.

That being said, how do you all feel the Roc and Wasp compare? Does a beat in wasp fly as nicely as the famous beat in Roc? Is a Z Wasp the closest substitute for a Champion Roc?

Also, if you use a D Wasp, once it beats in is there a need for a Buzzz?

they compare like they do on the flight chart. the wasp is slightly more overstable.

for the most part, yes, but the wasp has less glide and are a little more difficult to break in since the d plastic it is in is prone to warping and the z takes forever to break in. the x are domey and are more comperable to a domey roc than a flatter roc.

closer to a 2001 yes, but with a lot less glide.

depends how you want to throw it. a very broken in roc/wasp must be thrown hyzer to fly straight. the buzzz is more of a "throw it flat" disc.

The Z Wasp that I have been using for around 3 months has broken in to new Buzzz stability for me. I'm working on a D Wasp now. I never thought I would replace the Buzzz but the Wasp has done it. It allows me to only throw 1 midrange mold. Also, the new D Wasp that I have is a fair bit less overstable than a new Z Wasp. Both discs are 176g. Actually the D has that stupid 175-176g sticker but that's close enough.

I can throw a roc amazingly, but could never throw a wasp. It wouldn't go straight like my roc would.
