How are y'all throwing a spectra? It is unpredictable as hell for me; should I throw it lower?

Threw one for about 3 weeks... It is no longer in the bag.

Mine has also been banished. It is predictable enough, but I hate the way it just dies at the end of its flight. My wraiths and pro starfire have proven to be far better/longer. I also hate the coloring of the disc. It is hard to see in underbrush. IMO the pro starfire in light weight is what you're looking for if you have a spectra. My starfire glides better and doesn't fade at all during flight. Also very impressive downwind. The spectra isn't hopeless, but I was somewhat disappointed in it. The highspeed understability and lowspeed overstability kind of limit its potential. BTW, to get max distance out of it you have to throw it high. I tried throwing it low and it just ends up dead in the grass.

a lot of this is a factor of playing at elevation. at sea level the high dome on the spectras give them them tremendous glide BUT you MUST have them turned over to get them to finish nose down and moving forwards. it reminds me a bit of the old elite pro XL's in that regards.

The rim was just too rigid, it felt like clamping down on a piece of metal... Just wasn't a comfortable disc... Much better results from my ol' RoadRunners in that slot in my bag.

Do I need a starfire if I have x avengers? Also, am I understanding correctly to turn over the spectra? It hasnt come back when I've turned it over so far.

1) hyzer filp your spectra and get enough air under it.

2) the starfire-x and avenger would overlap.

i would say starfirex or sl would overlap an avenger (star x in champ similar to z avenger, possible brand new x, while x broken in is similar to a sl) and I would say the spectra would be overlap you know that a broken in x avenger is controlable for understable, while a spectra is less.

no, a spectra and an avenger do not overlap unless it is a sub-170g broken in x avenger.
