need help taking the next step

Postby ApesOfWrath » Tue Jul 11, 2006 10:47 am

I have been playing a few years, throw right handed back hands, can throw about 400' and am a much better ultimate player than disc golfer. I finally went out and bought a bag, and have been reading around the internet trying to set it up. Here is what I have -

star teerex - overstable long
ch. starfire-l - long and straight
dx valk - control driver
dx eagle - control driver (trying to decide between it and valk)
very worn dx eagle - left to right control driver
worn dx roc - stable mid
ch coyote - overstable mid
dx xd - mid that fades right (have more confidence in this than my roc for left to right shots)
glow wizard - putt - i want to try something softer though, it is very stiff

I also have a champ leopard that i like throwing but not sure where it fits in

any help would be very much appreciated, including suggestions for replacements of overlaps or better alternatives.

Try a soft wizard. The valk is way longer, but it gets crazy understable with age. The eagle will get you more control, but less distance. Id say keep it all in your bag, and use every disc for your different shots. Oh, and you can get rid of the cyote and just throw a hyzer on the roc.

rocs new are overstable, broken in they are stable. Coyotes are barely stable new, and dont take long to be understable. a new Roc would be much better than the coyote. And eventually your broken in roc should beat in enough to replace the XD all togeather.
