distance driver

Postby smpen45 » Thu Jul 13, 2006 4:40 pm

Im looking for a distance driver that throws/feels similer to a banshee. I lost my champion valk, which was my longest distance driver. Should I get another valk, or throw something different. The Starfire seems like it could be a faster banshee, but i have never thrown one.

I throw a mostly RHBH, and throw in some sidearm for certain shots.

feels like a banshee or throws like a banshee, which is more important?

dx banshee or champ banshee? new or broken in?

longest 3 discs on the market with rims similar to a banshee = talon, orion lf, and starfire x. these are all stable to overstable.

stabilitywise, closest to a banshee = predator, flick, venom.

I throw a DX Wraith for my big open D shots, though I hear a lot about the STAR Wraiths. As long as you've got the power for it, I haven't found anything better.

If you were using a Valk for max D, I would think you would want something similar as far as flight goes. Banshees are pretty stable. How far are you throwing?
If you want to try something new maybe a Beast or Spectra would fit the bill.

i was wondering what losing a valk had to do w/ a banshee too. I would suggest champ starfire for a longer banshee, but I would reccomend a pro starfire or x avenger as a faster longer valk.

if you liked the valk but want to try something new, my vote goes for an Orion ls. it has a similar feel to a valk but I think it glides a little better. Stability wise they're pretty close.
