I didn't know people where still doing that, it's some really wierd shit..sword fighting in a public park. I bet they still play the fantasy card games, like magic.

i crashed at a friends house for about a week before his room mate freaked me out and i left. he had all the huge battle ax's and 27 sided dice. he just kept showing me this drawing of his "character" which can only be described as ving rhames as a bodybuilder. no offense to anyone who plays, i know everyone isnt like that, but these are the guys that give the normal ones a bad name...

It drives me nuts... 12 of us are out playing leagues and there are about 80 people running around in their drapes hitting each other with throw pillows tied to sticks...

And I am thinking, maybe we are the crazy ones cuz there are more of them...

d00d!!111 There is no such thing as a 27 sided die. If there were, the proper nomenclature would be d27. kthxbye.

I played D&D alot in high school, but we never did the live action stuff. These days i just play the video games. I am still quite addicted to the forgotten realms/dragonlance and other tsr novel series. last I remember there was a d30 and a d100, which were both pretty useless since the same rolls could be done with d10's. It was more like the geek sportscar, just for show :lol:

speaking of the starnge ones, I used to have a friend that was really hard to watch action movies with, because everytime something exciting happend he would start talking about what level the guy must be, how high his rolls were, what skills or class he was using, ect... it was pretty irritating to be at the climax of the movie and have him shouting DOUBLE D!

I must agree here. I used to play a lot of D&D but I have never done any of that "beat the shit out of your buddy in a costume" stuff. Although there where times when I wanted to shot an arrow at him.
