CE Leopards?

anyone have any of the old school leopards?

I throw leopards my favorite being DX ones but was talking with a buddy and he has about 3 (none of which he was willing to part with) and uses them very often - so I was hoping to snag one and give it a try. Ones on ebay seem to be in excess of $30.00 and I am not sure I want to put that out.....

You're going to be paying top dollar for CE Leopards, especially the flatter ones that are a bit more stable (and harder to find). The old proline leopards may not demand the same price, but will also be at a premium. Your best bet is to try one of the newer star leopards. While not as stable as some of those great CE's, they are very nice, and an improvement to the Champs.

I noticed that any I have seen are getting top dollar - perhaps I will try a star if I come across one in the near future.

I throw leopards also. I keep a large stack of dx. I dont know why but the ones with the oldschool stamp seem to be better.

anyway, I have a 170 star leopard and it is nice. Probobly my favorite star disc of any I have had.

Just get a Champ.

The local PIAS has several X outs.

Eric, I have a Star if you're interested. I think it's a 172, might be a 170. Orange with a Green stamp. Thrown a few times. Good disc, but a little too stable of a Leopard for me. I was looking for a turner, and Star is not the answer. Nice, straight fairway driver though.

it took quite a bit of beating but mine turns now (its also an orange/green stamp :lol:

), though its nothing like a dx. very gentle controled turn that always flexes back to the left. I have a pro line thats a little more dx-like in flight but I dont think any of the premium plastics are going to perform like a good old dx leopard.

I have some old pro line leapards that are great plastic. I think JWT has one or two pro line leopards on his sale list. I had a white star orc that seem to get too understable too quit. I don't know if star leopards would do the same. JWT, I expect a comission.

Im not sure which incarnation of the pro-line I have but its not the indestructible ones which is probobly why it will actually fly understable. Same reasone I like the star, its tough but not completely impervious to beating in.

The pro line plastic I have is almost exactly like the 10 time KC teebirds plastic. A blend of 10time/CE that have a gradual break in. I also still have my first CE leopard from about 6 years ago.

I have a new 1st run CE Leopard 174 gram and a used 1st run CE Leopard 168 gram 9+ condition, both dayglow yellow. I will sell or trade, let me know if intrested.
