For a while ATDI was one of the ultimate scene-ster bands, if you were an emo/punk kid you had to like them... I never got into them though.

They kind of remind me of Jimi Hendrix in the sense that if you play guitar you're supposed to worship Jimi... I never thought he was that great either.

never really liked ATDI really, which is kinda strange cuz i really do dig me some TMV......Sparta is pewp though so maybe that half of the band was holding me back from getting into ATDI, that and the singer was far less polished back then, the early ATDI stuff is liable to hurt your ears

The sound of chains. After wearing headphones 3-4 nights a week, I gave them up and try to enjoy my sourroundings and thoughts instead. I'm diggin' it.

Finally got De Loused... a couple days ago. Much more of an organic sound from a percussion standpoint, instead of the wall of sound that Thomas Pridgen puts up on the later albums.

That cover of One is incredible. I'm going to have to check out an album or two of theirs. Frank, any recommendations?

I shot this last year and the video is crap and didn't translate to Youtube well...but the sound is good. This guy is way better live than his recorded album would indicate, not to mention he's a hell of a good guy. The drummer is playing some sort of box with his hands in this song, I can't remember what it's called but it was really cool.

Blasphemy!

I can understand the dislike of ATDI, they're not for everybody. But dissing on Hendrix? Even if you don't like his music you have to respect him as one of the most influential rock guitarists of all time!

True, he's influenced more rockers to die by chocking on their own vomit...which continues to this day, to be a cool way out. Rock on Jimi

The first half of Bedlam is just so intense. Metatron may be one of the best tracks I've ever heard.

Amputecture is a must, Vicera Eyes is one of my favorite songs of all time...OF ALL TIME. I wouldnt overlook the new album Octahedron either, it took a couple listens to grow on me but now i love it........Oh yeah, Scab Dates is also a must have

Just got Amputecture, and Vicera Eyes is pretty sweet.

I was listening to an interview that Thomas Pridgen did, and he said that while playing during a show (on a song that was written before he joined the band), he began to cry because of the intensity of the music going on around him.
