Easy to use and very fast for me. It's very nice to use pdanet to share internet cause my cable is currently out so no net for the desktop. Actually posting this comment from the evo!

PDAnet is soo nice! Using it right now to post from my hotel room on the laptop! 3G is even better than I realized. I guess this is due to the slower processing of websites on my Droid. You just about forget you are using a cell as a modem it is very responsive and I ran a speedtest on speakeasy and it was pulling a steady 2.2 Mbps. Not too shabby!

I'm getting me a Moto Droid tomorrow. Getting it locally instead of using my upgrade. Was gonna go Incredible, but I'm strangely drawn to the cold, vanilla android instead of sense.
also, this leave my upgrade so I can get a Droid 2, or Droid X, or a BB Bold 9650 when I get a hankering for something new.

I got me a droid a couple days back and it's a beast. I just put 2.2, aka froyo, on it, rooted it, and over clocked it. I can push the processor to 1.2ghz. So nice.

How's the battery after over clocking it? I saw that someone was able to overclock the Evo too but, the battery life took a hit.

I'd really like to hear more about the Evo, particularly the battery performance/ease of changing battery, etc...

I'm due for an upgrade up to the iPhone 4 but other than the new boxy shape and thinner size (which I really do like) they didn't change the huge black sections of unused space on the front of the phone and I can't help but think what a waste of space it is. I know the sensors and home button are on there but why the hell couldn't the home button be moved to free up an entire .5" of screen real estate?! Other than that Apple gets under my skin and I am more and more impressed with Android the more I look into it. Well, it also helps that the Evo is a sweeeeeeeeet looking phone. Convince me, why should I ditch the iPhone?
I am dumb.

well I've had the evo now for over ten days and I'm really digging it. This is my first smartphone so my opinion isnt Prolly as good as others but oh well I'll help you the best I can.

My battery holds up for an entire day with moderate usage. I live in a 3g area so I can't comment on the 4g effects. I have noticed after a few charges the battery is holding up longer and longer with charges.

As far as changing the battery very simple... a blind one handed midget could do it without problem. :)

When researching phones I found this site very helpful.... http://WWW.androidandme.com

Not sure on on battery life with the overclocking because I have been trying out tons of custom roms and the reboots are a drain on the battery. just stock 2.1 on the droid, I was getting through the whole day.

also, ROOT YOUR ANDROID PHONE!!! I didn't see what the deal was, but now I do. You can put awesome roms on your phone. Rom Manager is fucking great.
