I heard Rodrigo y Gabriela are coming here. I don't go to many shows these days, but I'm seriously thinking about hitting this one up.

Man, I'd love to see these guys again. Missed my chance at a festival here a few weeks back when I was out of town, but I'd rather catch them when they're headlining anyway.

absolutely check 'em out... it'll be kind of a KMTT crowd but RyG are awesome anyway. I'd be there but I'll be out of town.

i'm super-stoked to see Further at marymoor park a few weeks later though... the new "jerry" guitarist sounds great, bobby & phil sound like they're having a lot of fun up there.

"Fake Jerry" is freaking awesome  All those years of playing in Dark Star Orchestra finally paid off. I'm going for both days here in Eugene in September. I haven't been so excited to see a Dead show for years. The boys sound really enthusiastic on all the recordings I've heard this year so far. Trust me, Eugene will RAGE.

During the hiatus I saw Widespread Panic here in Eugene at the Cuthbert. They sounded a lot better than they have for a long while. I saw a lot of people in the crowd that looked like Stewie does on my avatar. Gotta love Eugene.

yep, we've always been happy to see the dead or ratdog or whoever when they come around, so i picked up the further tix as soon as i noticed they were coming, and then downloaded a recent show to see how they sound. wow!! i'm with you, haven't been this excited for a show in a long time... and marymoor park is *so* nice for a summer show. the other day i was playing the 2nd set from 6/30 and my wife turned to me at one point and said "and we're seeing these guys in our own back yard?! :P"

with past incarnations of the post-gd lineup it's felt like they spent a lot of the time figuring out how to play comfortably together, but with this one they sound like that's already done and they're on to more creative stuff. fun!

i just saw widespread panic in seattle a couple weeks ago, great show. ran into a couple of local disc golfers there.

Hmm, having never gotten to see a Dead show, I might be up for checking this out. Closest I ever came was Furthur Fest years and years ago ('97 maybe?), I remember it being good, but I definitely didn't get the vibe that all my Deadhead friends had raved about when Jerry was still kickin'.

Are you getting reserved seats or GA, Mark?

Going to see Jack Johnson tomorrow night. Should be awesome (assuming it doesn't rain).
