Seriously if you watched this game and Nebraska vs Texas for the big 12 championship, why isn't their defense ranked #1 in the nation? Nebraska's defense could play in the NFL and hold their own!

They'll need the offense to continue to step up like it did in the bowl game, losing the best player in college football will make it tough to keep the defense from taking a small step back next year, though it should still be very good.

Iowa gets stomped 45-17. much like every team in the B10 will outside of wisco. I really hate the fact that the B10 sucks too as I'm a fan of Michigan State. Yes, I know what happened and I know MSU is going to get slaughtered against TTU. The B10 needs a resurgance.

Two years ago it wasn't a joke, unless you concede that the entire NCAA was a joke two years ago (which might have been the case.)

The Big 12 North just has an elephant in the corner, and that elephant is Nebraska. Nebraska is the only legitimate powerhouse football program in that division, and with them down the North can't stand up to the South with Texas and Oklahoma and Texas A & M. With OK State and Tech up right now the imbalance in the Big 12 is laughable even with A & M being down. It will always be that way to a certain extent, the North is just a much weaker division based on the schools. Texas and Oklahoma kids playing football against Missouri and Kansas kids...just not a good idea if competitive balance is what you are after. The only way for it to even look halfway decent is for Nebraska to kick ass and take names.
