I'm watching the review on CNBC. I bought an Acer about 7 years ago that did almost everything this thing does. I know, not really, but still...

What's battery life like? How much does it cost? 30 minutes into presentation, haven't heard.

Looks like a bloated iPhone. I'm also somewhat underwhelmed.

Don't hold your breath for a sub-$1000 price w/o a fat contract with a 3G provider. Probably near $600 even with the fat conttract.

Plus $130 for 3G model.

Less expensive than I had expected, and no contract. Still, for an overgrown iPod Touch, I can't see myself buying one. (This coming from a guy who still uses his first generation 5GB iPod [serial # ending in 00000013] daily.)

I wish they'd offer the same $15 a month, no contract 3G service for my iPod Touch, I'd probably do that instead of carrying a cell phone.

You'd need really big pockets.

I kind of want to get one just so I can pretend it's my phone or iPod. I'd strap it to my arm at the gym or answer it when my cell phone rings at home when we have people over. If I ever make a room full of giant stuff where I'd pretend I'm tiny it would definitely go in there.

Carrying around an iPad like a phone would be hilarious. It does look like a giant, fat iPhone. They could start making shirts with a giant pocket from your chest to your belt so you could slide that bad boy in and out any time someone Skyped you.

But what I said was that I wished they'd offer a 3G plan for my iPod Touch like they're offering for the iPad, unless you were being sarcastic and I just didn't get it.

I'm surprised at the announced prices...two questions for those that're actually paying attention and listening to their stuff or whatnot...

1. Is there an SD slot or expansion slot of some sort?
2. Is the storage SSD, or is it spinny microdrive like in iPoods?
